Lewis Hamilton says second practice for the Australian Grand Prix was probably one of the worst practices he’s ever had due to the troubled W15 car.
After the Silver Arrows made changes since the last race in Jeddah, the seven-time champion says the car had the best feeling at the start of the 1st practice.
However, after adjusting the settings, he pointed out that it was getting worse and worse and that in the end in 2 . training, he felt the least confidence in his car, finishing in 18th place.
“Obviously, I don’t feel great,” Hamilton said. “We had one of the worst sessions I’ve probably had in a long time.
“In the first free practice the feeling was quite good, the car felt the best ever in the first run in the 1st practice.”
“It was getting worse and worse. And then we made some big changes in the 2nd practice, and it was difficult.”
“After that session, I feel the least confident with this car that I’ve ever had. But there are positive things from that drive in the training we did.”
Hamilton’s teammate George Russell had a better day, finishing third in the first and sixth in the second practice.
