Exclusive :Max will negotiate with Mercedes after the Miami Grand Prix

Max Verstappen and his representative group will meet with the leaders of Mercedes after the Miami Grand Prix in order to agree on his possible signature as early as 2025. The Silver Arrows want the current champion at any cost in their ranks and would be ready to offer him 150 million euros, an ambassadorial contract, and could would also bring Helmut Marko.

That 10-day period after the Miami GP and the Emilio Romagne GP can change the course of this 2024 season, one of the most turbulent of all time. After returning from Florida, Verstappen and his representative group will sit down at the table to negotiate with Mercedes executives, German F1 Insider reports.

150 million euros per season, along with a well-paid brand ambassador contract. The leaders of Mercedes would welcome the Dutchman with open arms despite the tensions experienced in 2021.

If Verstappen joins the team, Mercedes would bring back a German-speaking figure in one of its official drivers, which it hasn’t had since Nico Rosberg in 2016. Max, from the Netherlands and born in Belgium, is fluent in German. He is a big boost for the Silver Arrows, who would recover from a shaky team entering the ground effect era.

In the talks, Verstappen will also make clear his demands, one of which is for Mercedes to improve its performance on the track in order to have a chance to fight for wins in 2025. In addition, he wants Wolff to try to attract high-caliber technical figures from within Red Bull, according to F1 Insider.

Although Red Bull is the best option to win the title in the short term in 2025, Verstappen wants to look further and the most important thing for him is the atmosphere in the team. The Red Bull Powertrains division remains something of a mystery despite its association with Ford, and Mercedes, after unquestionable success in the latest engine regulations since 2014, sounds like a more plausible option for success from 2026
