Volo Auto Museum : I’m in love with this truck! This is an unrestored survivor in excellent condition. Rust free with original paint. 2 owner, garage kept, KY truck with only 66,248 original miles. It is full of options like 4×4 and a/c. It is possibly the best functioning vehicle we have. The air is cold, windows roll up like a hot knife through butter, no rattles or clunks! Documented with original invoice, literature, warranty card, Marti Report and more. Only 212 made Raven black with this interior.
EXTERIOR: Wow, this truck looks close to new and it’s original! The body is rust free, straight and no damage. Original Raven Black paint is smooth and glossy with just enough patina to make you believe it is original. Doors shut like new and have original metal door edge guards. It’s the XLT which means “Extra Luxurious Truck” so it’s decked out with extra trim. All the chrome and moldings are in excellent shape. It also has chrome bumpers, the rear is a step bumper. The tow mirrors are genuine Ford. A big chrome grill guard was added. It has optional lights on top of the roof of the cab and a cargo light. All the glass is crystal clear, it has optional sliding rear window. It is sitting proud of some upgraded 8 lug polished 16 American Racing wheels with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires.
INTERIOR: Practically new and it is original! It hasn’t even been smoked in; the lighter and ashtray haven’t been used. original knitted vinyl seat trim, Am/FM Stereo, cab lights, rear siding window, oil pressure gauge, rear folding seat
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original 351 V8 was upgraded with an aluminum intake and 4 barrel carb. Features include factory air conditioning, super cooling package including oil cooler, power steering and power brakes. It is very complete including the entire jack assembly, Ford washer bottle, horns, battery hold down etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The tailgate functions properly. Inside the box has no damage or rust. It has been used and there are scratches in the original paint. It can easily be scuffed and sprayed, I personally would rather see it left original.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is original, bone dry, and rust free metal! Southern Kentucky truck all its life. It has been very well preserved over the years and serviced when needed. F-250 consisted of heavy-duty suspension, The front differential, steering stabilizer and linkage, shocks and leaf springs, and sway bar are all in really good shape. The rear springs and shocks in good shape as well. The front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes look really good. It has dual fuel tanks. Original type exhaust appears to be in good shape. Looking up at the motor, trans, and transfer case they are all clean, still factory painted and dry. The Trans was optioned as the 3 speed auto Cruise-O-Matic and is original to the truck. Original rear end is a heavy-duty Dana 60 with 4.10 posi gears. The floors look immaculate, painted nicely in satin black and smooth as can be. The frame is also in really great shape and satin black.
SERVICE: We inspected the truck and adjusted carb and timing, serviced and recharged A/C system.
There are other F250s out there, they are not this truck. Finding a workhorse like this that was taken care of like a Sunday car is amazing. The features and outstanding original quality make this a very desirable truck!
