BMW M3 Ford Mustang

From a distance, this car might appear to be a well-maintained, nearly original 1960s Ford Mustang . The proportions are pretty much perfect, it boasts all the classic body parts that made Mustangs of this era so special, and even the interior looks incredibly authentic. However, despite its Mustang-like appearance, this is not a Ford at all, but actually a BMW M3 of the E92 generation .
This unique M3 is now for sale in Cape Town, South Africa. The unusual creation combines two iconic rear-wheel drive sports cars. We have no idea why the BMW body was removed and replaced with a classic Mustang shell, but we have to really congratulate whoever built the car, because it looks like they did a great job. Under the skin, this is a standard E92 M3 Coupe . That means it has the brand’s naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. As the only M3 generation ever to feature a V8, the E92 holds a special place in the hearts of many speed enthusiasts and produces a truly infectious sound. The bodywork is a faithful recreation of the classic Ford Mustang GT500. The bright blue color makes the car stand out, and there’s also a set of nice silver wheels. The car has been put up for sale via Cars.co.za and while there’s no word on the material the new body is made of, it has all the same seductive shapes, curves and creases as the original Mustang .A lot of work has been done inside the cabin as well. A custom-built dash, new gauges and a retro three-spoke wood-rim steering wheel enhance the feel of the original Mustang. However, traces of the M3 remained in the form of elements such as the climate controls and the console between the seats from BMW. The ad stated that the car had traveled only 3,745 km. However, it is unclear if this is the total mileage or how far the car has traveled since the Mustang conversion. Regardless, the asking price is 1,399,950 South African Rand or around 73,500 Euros. At this price, the car seems like a very expensive way to attract attention as it realistically has no collector value or prospect of becoming a classic. Moreover, for a lower price, the buyer can easily get an original Mustang from that era, and for even less money, a real M3 Coupe E92.
