Verstappen: McLaren is a serious threat for the title

Max Verstappen is well on his way to winning his fourth consecutive Formula 1 championship title.
After 14 races, the Red Bull ace has 78 points more than first runner-up Lando Norris from McLaren. However, in the last few races it is clear that Verstappen is not as dominant as he has been in the last two seasons.

McLaren made significant progress, and in the constructors’ competition they came close to Red Bull by only 42 points.

“If they keep winning, they will realistically be a serious threat in the fight for the title,” said Verstappen.

However, the Dutchman believes that Red Bull should think more about itself.

“We have to fix some things, to be as good as at the beginning of the season.” Of course, the title is always in the subconscious, but the focus is that the car works as it should. Everything good will come from that,” said Verstappen.

The Formula 1 championship continues on August 25 with a race in Zandvoort!
