“It was a good day and a good weekend. Many thanks to the team that prepared a great strategy. I had a bad start like Lando and lost a bit of momentum there. After that I had to fight for this position. I don’t believe that with a better start I would be able to threaten the leaders, but I certainly wouldn’t have such a gap. The plan from the beginning was to use soft tires at the end. There were certainly no stories about the variant we had with George,” Hamilton said.
