Volkswagen is preparing an even more powerful Golf R

Lately, there has been speculation that Volkswagen is preparing an even
more powerful version of the new Golf R, and it seems that the confirmation of that has been “in front of our noses” all along.
The information is listed on page 347 of the manual that comes with the
eighth generation Golf, and it is an even more powerful version of the Golf R that develops 328 hp and 420 Nm of torque, which is 13 hp more than the
“standard” Golf R which has identical torque. This power is delivered by a
modified version of the 2.0liter fourcylinder turbo gasoline codenamed
DNFF. The future version should exceed the time of 4.7 seconds needed to
accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h, as well as a top speed of 250 km / h.
The socalled Golf R Plus is expected at the end of this or in the first half of 2022
