The iconic Japanese sports cars are not yet as famous among the general public as their rivals from other countries, and yet cars like the Toyota Supre, 2000GT, Mazda Miata, RX-7 or Nissan 350Z and GT-R have marked the industry.
But none of these models have a reputation as a super-rare NISMO 400R based on the R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R. It is the last of a total of 40 units, and is now for sale,
The special 400R is rarer than any of the cars mentioned, and since it is much newer, it is also far more powerful. Under the hood is a 2.8-liter RB engine codenamed RB-X GT2. It is a REINIK competition engine with a pair of turbochargers and a total power of 400 hp. However, this car is not special because of its numbers …
At Skyline, their colors are especially interesting, and while Midnight Purple is perhaps the most famous, this Deep Marine Blue is not far behind. It is actually the last GT-R V-Spec in this color which makes it much rarer. In addition, out of 40 cars, it has been confirmed that only 19 units still exist today.

Also, it is interesting that many special NISMO parts that are on the 400R cannot be purchased separately. NISMO and Nissan have never sold them separately in the aftermarket market, nor as accessories for other Skyline owners. This sports car is super rare, very fast and historically important because it set the ladder for the future of the GT-R nameplate.
So finally, what is the current price? This very special 400R sells for 1.6 million British pounds (US $2,183,224) . It’s a serious price, but again, this is a serious collector’s car.
