At last year’s 45th Tokyo Motor Show Mazda presented the Kai concept, which announced the next generation of the “triple” hatchback, with a dynamic Kodo design.
Now comes the information that the new Mazda 3 premiere could have in November this year, at the Los Angeles Fair.
In addition to its attractive appearance on the Kai concept, the new “triple” will get a more modern interior with better materials and the latest infotainment system. In this regard, the Japanese say that the travelers here were at the center of attention in order to achieve optimal functionality.
Also, this Mazda 3 will be built on the new Skyactiv-Vehicle architecture, and will receive a new SkyActiv-X gasoline engine with 187 hp and 230 Nm, which is said to combine the fuel economy of diesel engines and all benefits of gasoline. The offer will also include SkyActiv-G gasoline and SkyActiv-D diesel engines.
As for the dimension, here is the remark that the Kai concept is 4420 mm long, 1855 mm wide and 1375 mm high, which means it is slightly longer, wider and lower than the current Mazda 3, of which there is a 50 mm longer wheelbase.
