At the British branch of the US tuning company Mountune, which is best known for its remarkable improvements on some Ford models, since May they also deal with cars from the VW concern.

Mountune has recently offered a recalibration of the engine’s central control unit, which is powered by the still-current Golf GTI Performance, and VW’s famed four-cylinder turbocharged engine (EA888) has 310hp and 475Nm of torque instead of the standard 245hp and 350hm.
In Essex (UK), in turn, they ask for just under € 700, with the Golf GTI with an additional 0 to 100 km / h potential in just over five seconds. As a reminder, the standard GTI Performance reaches the “100” in 6.3 seconds and develops 250 km / h.

Seven-generation Golf GTI owners are also offered a range of improved mechanical components by the British, including more efficient brakes. There are also special 19-inch wheels “signed” by the American company fifteen52, and the result is a great “cocktail” that will keep pace with much more powerful (and more expensive) sports cars.
