Mercedes Planning Major Improvements In The Coming Period

The German team brings improvements primarily to the engine.
Red Bull and Ferrari are at the top of the Formula 1 grid this year, while Mercedes, despite a lot of problems, managed to separate itself as the third best team at the moment. After the dominance of the German company since the beginning of the hybrid era, this year Mercedes had to face the fact that it cannot fight for the top, but no one gave up on that.

In the last few races, the team from Brackley managed to improve the form of their W13 car, and everyone at Mercedes is eagerly awaiting the implementation of the new technical directive that will start to apply in Belgium. Mercedes is preparing the best package with improvements, primarily in the engine field. Since Ferrari has already announced the new ERS system for the race at Spa-Francorchamps, the German team has also prepared a new version of the hybrid component, which will be called “Phase 2”. These upgrades would help Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have more power on the road and a better qualifying pace.
