Max Verstappen’s name can also be added to the list of drivers to be penalized at Monza. The championship leader will be moved back five places at the start of the Italian Grand Prix due to a change in the engine element, reports the Dutch De telegraaf.
Red Bull decided to replace the internal combustion engine (ICE) in Verstappen’s RB18 as a precaution.
This results in a grid penalty of five places. If the Dutchman is the fastest in qualifying on Saturday, he will start from sixth place.

Verstappen changed all engine components and gearbox two weeks ago in Belgium, so he had to start from the back positions
.Due to the penalties of the other drivers, he ended up starting from fourteenth place and still won at Spa-Francorchamps by force majeure. The last race before the summer break, in Hungary, the Dutchman celebrated after finishing 10th.
More penalties are also expected: for example, Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Sergio Perez (Red Bull), as well as Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) will have to start from the back. Verstappen is the new name on the penalty list.
