Petrol vs electric let’s gooo!
carwow : We’ve got our hands on a V8-powered Mustang, and it’s about to go head-to-head against the Mustang Mach-E GT to see which of these Fords is quicker over the quarter-mile.
Interestingly, the V8 Mustang has a slight tune, and as a result, the power output is almost identical to the Mach-E GT, with the 5-litre V8 producing 490hp and 530Nm of torque.
In comparison, the Mustang Mach-E GT is powered by two electric motors which combine to produce 487hp, although torque is way up at 860Nm. However, that’s not all that’s up – the Mach-E tips the scales at a whopping 2,200kg, while the petrol-powered Mustang sits at 1,740kg.
