Dodge Demon vs Tuned Dodge Charger Hellcat Drag Races

Road Test TV : 1/4 mile drag race between a stock Dodge Demon and a lightly modded SRT Hellcat Charger… on the same track, on the same day… at the same time. Since the weather was terrible for drag racing (hot, humid, high DA), it affected both cars equally.

The Demon’s 6.2L Supercharged V8 makes 840 Horsepower and 770 lb-ft of Torque. The Hellcat Charger is also powered by a Supercharged 6.2 Liter V8 which makes 707 Horsepower and 650 lb-ft of Torque when stock. The Hellcat Charger has cold air intake and drag radials as does the Demon. The Demon comes with a cold air intake and drag radials from the factory whereas it’s mods on the Hellcat.

Everyone was hoping for a cool day with low DA; however, the weather didn’t cooperate as it was hot and humid at No Problem Dragway in Louisiana with a DA of +1800 feet.

The Demon is brand new and the owner did not to use the TransBrake to launch the car. Track prep was amazing and handled by Brandon and the team of Mass Traction
