For the stylistic basis we took the cult sports coupe Dodge Challenger. The first generation appeared in 1970 and was very well received by the public – in the very first year over 76 thousand copies were sold. Next was the second generation, introduced in 1978, it lasted on the conveyor for 5 years. After that, in the history of the model, there was a perennial lull, interrupted only at the very beginning of 2006, when the Dodge Challenger concept was shown, almost identical to the production version launched into production two years later. This car, stylistically linked to the very first Challenger, is still being released after several updates. One of the brightest elements of its appearance is a recessed grille, combined with two pairs of round headlights.
Round-shaped mirrors are located on the legs, the crossover also received a similar line of side glazing. Another characteristic feature of the Challenger model is the rear optics, which is similar to the front optics located in the recess of the trunk lid. Above it is a retro style spoiler.
Under the hood of such a car is asking for something from relatives in the concern FCA, eight-cylinder and with a large working volume. You can borrow the engine from the most powerful Challenger with the Demon prefix, which is equipped with an 840-horsepower engine 6.2. It is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission ZF 8HP90, capable of withstanding up to 1000 Nm of torque.
If we talk about the ideological competitors of muscle-crossover, then such could be akin to the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, equipped with the same engine 6.2, however, developing 710 hp The cost of such a crossover is 140.000$
