Volkswagen presented a special version of the Golf R on the occasion of the 20th birthday of this sports model.
Yes, the Golf R (32) was introduced 20 years ago, and now a special, celebratory variant is coming to us from Volkswagen. The new Golf R retains the same 2.0 (EA888) turbo-petrol engine, which has now been increased by 13 hp to as much as 333 hp. The jubilee version of the Golf R comes combined with an upgraded 7-speed DSG transmission that transmits power to all four wheels.
The list of equipment also includes the Akrapovic sports exhaust system made of titanium, and VW offers the so-called “Emotional Start” mode, with the engine already spinning at 2500 rpm at start
Modifications have also been made to the turbine, so the final result is very visible while driving. Customers are offered only two body shades, Lapis blue and white, and the choice of color affects the finish of 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels.

There are also Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires, as well as numerous markings that indicate that this is a special, jubilee version. The price has not been announced, but it is expected that the birthday Golf R will be about 10,000 euros more expensive than the regular one.
