- 1 of only an estimated 14 2001 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec IIs known to have been imported and legalized by MotoRex for use on the road in the United States before the operation was shut down
- Registered by MotoRex as a 1999 model when it was imported
- These 14 cars were eventually pardoned by the U.S. Government and given bond release if made to be NHTSA/DOT compliant
- Due to the current NHTSA 25-year import law, the 2001 R34 Skyline GT-R will not be eligible to enter the United States until 2026, making this NHTSA/EPA-compliant example very rare and desirable
- Used by actor Paul Walker as demonstration car for promoting various Fast & Furious movies
- Driven approximately 18,000 miles by Walker while in his care
