The 1970 Chevelle Super Sport features a 4-speed manual transmission while the Dodge Charger has a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic. Rear gearing in the Chevelle is 3.31, and 3.55 in the Charger R/T. The 1971 Charger R/T was heavy weighing-in at 4212 pounds, including the driver. The Super Sport Chevelle is also rather heavy at 3938 pounds.
