1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Is Up For Sale

1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback for sale at the Mecum Auctions To be sold at the Glendale,March 16-19, 2022.
This Raven Black 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback benefits from a slew of modern updates, ranging from its Tremec 5-speed transmission, rack-and-pinion steering and tubular upper and lower control arms, to Wilwood disc brakes, subframe connectors and Cal-Trac traction bars. Originally equipped from the factory with the S-Code 390 CI V-8 engine, the GT fastback has also been upgraded power-wise with Ford’s legendary 428 Cobra Jet, which produced a staggering 335 HP in stock form, thanks to 427 Low-Riser cylinder heads, a 390 GT camshaft and Holley 4-barrel carburetor. But, the 428 Cobra Jet mill tucked beneath the hood of this GT fastback has been upgraded even further with an aluminum intake and MSD ignition. Meanwhile, Ford’s stout 9-inch rear end has been installed to handle the Cobra Jet’s torque, and a Magnaflow exhaust system reduces power-robbing back-pressure while also supplying the GT fastback with a muscular sound.
