1966 Shelby Group II Mustang Built For Legendary Driver Ken Miles will be sold at Barrett-Jackson

Everyone is familiar with the GT350 R model race cars that won the SCCA B Production titles in 1965, 1966 and 1967. Few are aware of the 1966 Group II Mustang coupes that Shelby built in 1966. There were only 16 cars completed making these rarer than the R Model GT350’s. They were built to the exact specs as the R Models and intended to compete in the SCCA and TRANS AM A/Sedan class. This car was originally intended for Ken Miles to drive but his untimely passing meant that he never git behind the wheel. John McComb was offered the car and he campaigned it in over 30 SCCA and TRANS AM races including the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Recently this car was restored by noted Shelby experts at Legendary Motor Cars in Canada and is correct down to the proper date coded engine and transmission.
This Shelby will sell at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in January 2023 with no reserve!
